We’re into the business-end of the season, and we’re about to enter the key stages in the Champions League.
Indeed, we’re down to the final eight in Europe’s elite competition, and there are some mouth-watering ties to look forward to.
Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich is a classic Champions League tie, while Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund is a very exciting game.
However, perhaps the headline match in the quarter-finals is Arsenal vs Real Madrid.
Arsenal beat PSV in the last 16 to set up a tie with Real Madrid after they beat their local rivals Atletico.
Thierry Henry believes Arsenal can get past Madrid, and taking part in a TikTok challenge for TNT Sports, Joe Hart has now predicted how this tie, and the rest of the competition as a whole, will go.
Joe Hart predicts Champions League results
Hart didn’t only predict Arsenal vs Real Madrid, he predicted the entire Champions League bracket from here.
Hart actually tipped Real Madrid to get past Arsenal, but he made some interesting claims as we headed towards the business-end of the competition.
Indeed, the Manchester City legend reckons that we will have a clash of the titans in the final this year as he tipped Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to meet in the final, with Vincent Kompany’s side coming out on top.
Of course, Hart is a former teammate of Kompany’s at Manchester City, so he may be slightly biased here.
Arsenal’s record vs Real Madrid
Arsenal vs Real Madrid will be a special Champions League tie, that’s for sure.
Indeed, these two teams are two of the biggest in Europe, but, remarkably, this will only be the second time they’ve ever faced off.
Arsenal and Madrid did meet in the Champions League, at this exact stage, back in 2006, and Arsenal came out on top on that occasion, winning 1-0 on aggregate over two legs.
This game will have plenty of extra spice attached to it.
Mikel Arteta is famously not a fan of Real Madrid having been a part of Barcelona’s academy as a youngster.
Indeed, Arteta loves Barcelona, and he’d derive great pleasure out of knocking Madrid out of the Champions League.
Hart doesn’t fancy Arsenal’s chances here, and it’s easy to understand why.
Arsenal have an ongoing injury crisis at the moment with Kai Havertz out for the season and Gabriel Magalhaes now also potentially sidelined.
However, Bukayo Saka will be back fit for this match after making a goalscoring return to action this week against Fulham.
Regardless of who goes through, this should be a cracking European tie between two top teams.
