Marcus Rashford’s resurgence at Aston Villa has been one of the stories of the season. After struggling at Manchester United, the English forward has found his spark in Unai Emery’s high-flying squad, scoring his first Premier League goal for Villa in a crucial 3-0 victory over Brighton.

Meanwhile, Antony has been thriving in La Liga, helping Real Betis climb into UEFA Champions League contention. The Brazilian winger, who struggled at Manchester United, has rediscovered his confidence, producing four goals and two assists in 12 appearances since his January loan move.

With both players impressing away from Old Trafford, speculation is growing about their long-term futures. Could they still play a role for the Red Devils? Or will the club look to cash in on their recent form? After weeks of silence, Ruben Amorim has finally addressed the situation—but his words leave more questions than answers.

Rashford’s first Premier League goal for Aston Villa came at a crucial moment in the season. The 27-year-old put Villa ahead six minutes after halftime against Brighton, finishing off a well-executed counter-attack. Unai Emery’s players added two more goals through Marco Asensio and Donyell Malen, sealing a 3-0 victory that propelled them to seventh place in the table, just behind Chelsea.

This latest performance follows Rashford’s dominant FA Cup showing, where he scored twice in Villa’s 3-0 win over Preston North End. With the squad pushing for Champions League qualification, the Englishman’s contribution could be pivotal in the final stretch of the season.

Antony’s revival in La Liga

While the forward is making headlines in his homeland, Antony has quietly been one of Real Betis‘ standout players in Spain. The Brazilian winger has notched four goals and assists each in all competitions, while also helping the team win six straight La Liga games to move into European contention.

Speaking about his future, Antony told Mundo Deportivo: “I’m very happy here [Betis], but it’s still too early to decide. I enjoy every day in the Betis shirt. I identify a lot with the fans because of the feeling; we Brazilians are like that too.”

Despite his success, a permanent move to the Villamarin Stadium remains uncertain, with financial constraints potentially preventing the club from signing him outright. However, Atletico Madrid has reportedly entered the race, which could spark a bidding war in the summer.

What did Amorim say about Rashford and Antony’s future?

With Manchester United struggling in attack, many are wondering whether Rashford and Antony could return to reinforce Amorim’s squad next season. When asked about the duo’s future, the Portuguese manager finally broke his silence—but stopped short of providing any real answers.

“I’m really happy to see our players excel in a different context,” Amorim said, referencing Rashford’s recent heroics and Antony’s impressive form in La Liga. But when pressed on whether they would be part of the roster for next season, he remained elusive: “Let’s focus on the game. We’re happy for them, but I don’t want to talk about the future now.”
