Arsenal among main suitors for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze

The player in question is Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with Arsenal for over a year now.

Eze has continued to go from strength to strength at Selhurst Park and, at 26 years old, he’s entering his prime, making him a prime candidate for a big summer move.

The England international has a £60million release clause in his Palace contract, which runs until the summer of 2027.

Arsenal and Liverpool are now said to be Eze’s man suitors, while Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are also keen, according to CaughtOffside.

What Eberechi Eze could bring to Arsenal

Eze has made a name for himself as one of the best Premier League players outside of a traditional ‘Big Six’ club and, as such, the nation’s big sides are circling.

He is a versatile player who can feature at No. 10 and also on the left wing, though he has also played on the right wing, in midfield and even up front in his career.

“This kid, no disrespect to Palace, could go on and play for one of the top teams,” Rio Ferdinand said of Eze in 2024.

“He’s got that individual brilliance; he’s got the awareness when he’s dribbling to keep his head up and bring others into play.

“I speak to other players that play against him, and they say he’s such an elusive player, unpredictable in the way that he carries the ball, but also [his strength].

“If you look at the size of him, he’s got the strength and power to go with it. Again, you’ve got to get out on the pitch and you’ve got to be available.”

Arsenal and England star Declan Rice has also sung Eze’s praises, describing his Three Lions teammate as a “wizard” back in 2023.

Meanwhile, Palace teammate Marc Guehi recently told reporters: “I tell him every day he’s one of the best. But it’s not about saying it, it’s about showing it – and he does it.”
