Dejan Kulusevski has arguably been Tottenham’s standout performer and he is the one player at the club who Spurs would perhaps like to build around for the future.
Even Ange Postecoglou named Kulusveski as Tottenham’s “best player” as for most of the ongoing campaign, he has managed to shine in a Lilywhites side that has underperformed massively.
After what was an encouraging debut season for Tottenham under Postecoglou, things have taken a turn for the worse and that must have not been easy for the 24-year-old to take — especially considering he previously played for a Juventus side who would always compete to win trophies.
While Dejan Kulusevski continues to prove he belongs at the highest level, the same cannot be said about the North Londoners as a side.
Sooner rather than later, the Swedish international will have to decide whether it is best for him to lead Tottenham to success or search for glory elsewhere.

Tottenham demand £50 million plus from Dejan Kulusevski’s suitors
Ben Foster claimed Kulusevski’s been “incredible” this season and on the pitch, he has certainly done his part.
But the versatile attacking midfielder would be fairly frustrated, with another one of his teammates in Cristian Romero calling Tottenham’s spending habits out as there is a sense that they are not heading in the right direction.
Now, a fresh transfer update has emerged about the former Atalanta technician.
GiveMeSport have revealed that while Tottenham are desperate not to sell Kulusevski, only offers in excess of £50 million will be accepted by them from potential suitors.
The report states that there are no signs that the Coppa Italia winner is looking to depart N17.
However, from Tottenham’s perspective, in case Kulusevski changes his mind, the starting point of their valuation would be set at £59 million (BBC Sport) — the fee paid by Paris Saint-Germain to sign Khvicha Kvaraskhelia — with their star man’s experience in the Premier League also a factor that suitors must keep in mind.
What could force Dejan Kulusevski to leave Spurs
For the time being, Spurs will be relieved that Kulusevski is not pondering a potential exit.
But Trent Alexander-Arnold’s imminent move to Real Madrid is a lesson to every club that things can change at the drop of a hat in football.
With that being said, Kulusevski could leave Tottenham at the end of the season if they fail to win the Europa League.
AC Milan are interested in signing Kulusevski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has apparently even begun talks to engineer a move.
But it seems like any club keen on snapping the Spurs man up will have to pay a pretty penny.
