Mohamed Salah has managed to play alongside some of the greatest players in the history of the game throughout his career.
Even before the 32-year-old signed for Liverpool, Salah played alongside his idol, Francesco Totti — who is regarded as one of the most complete forwards of all time.
At Anfield, the list of incredible players Mohamed Salah has played with is virtually endless — be it an obvious name like Virgil van Dijk or potentially an underappreciated stalwart like Thiago Alcantara.
But during his time at Liverpool, the Egyptian icon has also played against all-time greats.
One of them is Kevin De Bruyne, who Salah once named as his “dream teammate” in 2023.
Mohamed Salah named Kevin De Bruyne as his “dream teammate”
Salah initially picked Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but as far as Premier League players are concerned, he opted for De Bruyne.
A key reason why Salah admitted he would love playing with De Bruyne is due to his vision that would allow the Belgian to assist him at will.
The Liverpool legend told Sky Sports: “[Lionel] Messi or [Cristiano] Ronaldo but if I pick one in the Premier League, I choose Kevin.”
“Because he has vision and I’m sure he can find me anywhere with the ball, so I could say Messi and Ronaldo and Kevin.”
How many times did Mohamed Salah and De Bruyne play together at Chelsea?
The fact that Chelsea had both Salah and De Bruyne on their books at a young age and they managed to let the pair go has to go down as one of the worst transfer decisions in the history of the game.
Both players are arguably the two greatest players of their generations to have graced the Premier League and up there amongst the very best of the best to have played in England.
Unfortunately for Chelsea fans, Salah and De Bruyne were never on the pitch in tandem in blue strips.
