Wolves lineup vs. Ipswich: Predicted XI for Premier League clash

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be without five players for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

While Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez, Yerson Mosquera and Leon Chiwone all remain sidelined with knee injuries, in-demand star Matheus Cunha will serve the final game of a four-match suspension this weekend.

In Cunha’s absence, Jorgen Strand Larsen has scored three goals in his last two PL games – including the only goal in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over West Ham United – and the Norwegian is expected to lead the line once again this weekend.

Strand Larsen could be supported in the final third by Marshall Munetsi and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, who both started in advanced positions in midweek, although the likes of Pablo Sarabia, Hwang Hee-chan and Carlos Forbs will be hoping to force their way back into the first XI.

Rodrigo Gomes and Goncalo Guedes could also be attacking options for Vitor Pereira, but both players are minor doubts and will be assessed ahead of kickoff after they missed the midweek win due to “small problems”.

Joao Gomes, who recently signed a new five-year contract extension, is set to continue in centre-midfield alongside Brazilian compatriot Andre, while Matt Doherty, Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes are the most likely trio to start in the back three as Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri operate as wing-backs.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup: Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, T. Gomes; Semedo, J. Gomes, Andre, Ait-Nouri; Munetsi, Bellegarde; Strand Larsen
