Bayern Munich picked up a 3-1 win…
Knowing how the injury gods view Bayern Munich, it was no shock to see Jamal Musiala go down with what is thought to be a hamstring injury during the team’s 3-1 victory over FC Augsburg.
With that, suddenly controversial club legend Thomas Müller needed to come into the match after a week where he — allegedly — found out that he is no longer in Bayern Munich’s future plans.
Maybe he felt extra pressure, maybe not, but the 35-year-old turned in a solid shift, which did not go unnoticed by midfielder Joshua Kimmich, who just wants a good resolution for all parties.
“I’ve been playing with him for 10 years now. You learn to love each other. Both sides deserve to make a decision together, especially Thomas,” Kimmich told t-online’s Julian Buhl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
This has to be a distressing (and distracting) situation for the squad at the moment. As Kimmich said, a resolution is needed, but might not be easy to achieve — or one where both sides come out feeling okay.
Such is life on the big stage…
