Thomas Müller could have a big role vs. Inter Milan…if Vincent Kompany calls his number…

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany knows the controversy surrounding Thomas Müller is at the forefront for many fans, but the manager did not want to jump into the fray and discuss it after the team’s 3-1 victory over FC Augsburg.

“We shouldn’t mix things up. What happens outside is outside. But what happens internally is completely different. For us it’s about the Champions League, the Bundesliga and the work we’re doing together. I know it’s sometimes difficult to understand from the outside, but we’re top professionals, that’s why we’re here. What happens outside doesn’t influence my work,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Kompany will have an interesting call to make with Müller this week. Jamal Musiala will miss the Inter Milan match and Müller — theoretically — would be next in line to man the position. Will Kompany stick with the veteran or shift someone else into the role?
