West Ham almost got back to winning ways against Bournemouth on Saturday.
A superb header by Jarrod Bowen in the 68th minute – after an equally brilliant headed effort from Niklas Fullkrug seven minutes earlier – put West Ham in control against the Cherries, as a run of three Premier League games without a win looked set to end.
Unfortunately, Evanilson notched his second of the afternoon in the 79th minute to secure a 2-2 draw, with Alphonse Areola not exactly covering himself in glory for both of the Brazilian’s goals.

Andoni Iraola will be just as frustrated as Graham Potter, as his side are now five games without a win, although the Spaniard still found time to praise the opposition.

The man from Usurbil was far from happy after seeing Bournemouth concede two goals from crosses.
However, Iraola – who Tottenham admire – refrained from criticising his side when the topic of the second goal came up, instead opting to applaud Bowen for the quality of his finish.
The 42-year-old told the BBC: “It’s not a game where you should be conceding two goals. We conceded from two crosses. From very little we concede two and it cost us a lot. We are not being effective. When you have better chances you are not feeling happy with a point.
“They had very little chances but it’s true on the set play we did not mark Fullkrug. The second one it’s more merit for them, it’s a great header.”

In our opinion, that is an understatement – it was a remarkable header by Bowen, who is not exactly the greatest aerial threat in England, standing at just 5ft 9in.
What Danny Dyer said about Jarrod Bowen joining Arsenal
As you may already know, Bowen is Danny Dyer’s son-in-law.
Speaking to the BBC ahead of the release of his new film, the 47-year-old was cheekily asked if the West Ham No.20 would ever move to Arsenal.
Dyer hilariously snapped back, saying: “That’s a stupid question. It’s never going to happen. Never, that man is my son-in-law, he’s not going anywhere. He’s very happy. He loves West Ham and West Ham love him.
“He’s a leader, it does hurt, the Declan Rice thing, but I would argue Jarrod Bowen is a better player. We did ruin their season, so happy days for us, we want to get this season out of the way and go again.”
If the 28-year-old ever did choose to force a move away from the London Stadium, it would surely make for a few awkward family dinners in the Dyer household.
