TBR Football have now received information regarding who Nottingham Forest could sign to replace Taiwo Awoniyi.
The Nigeria international has endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign so far – making just three Premier League starts after falling behind Chris Wood in the pecking order.
With Nuno Espirito Santo set to have European football on the schedule next season, the Reds will need added depth in several departments, and a new striker is on the agenda.

Now, sources have told TBR Football that Bournemouth marksman Evanilson is being closely monitored by Nottingham Forest – amid doubts over the future of Taiwo Awoniyi at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest want Evanilson
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – has now been informed that Nottingham Forest could sign the Brazilian this summer.
We understand Nottingham Forest wanted to sign Evanilson before his £40m move to Bournemouth in August 2024, when he arrived as a replacement for Dominic Solanke.
Sources state that Nottingham Forest are likely to allow Awoniyi to leave this summer, after he scored just two goals in 28 appearances, as Nuno aims to find fresh competition for Wood.
TBR Football are also aware that Newcastle and Aston Villa have been keeping an eye on Evanilson as well, with the South American impressing – he boasts 11 goals in 28 games across all competitions.
Nottingham Forest eyeing another Brazilian in Matheus Cunha
Evanilson – who has been called a “fox in the box” by European football expert Andy Brassell on talkSPORT – is not the only Brazilian forward the Reds are looking at right now.
TBR Football have been told Nottingham Forest are fans of Matheus Cunha – and are even prepared to smash their transfer record to sign the Wolves No.10 this summer if a deal becomes a realistic option.

The South American recently signed a new contract at Molineux – although it includes a £63m release clause, which is a fair asking price after he bagged 15 goals in 29 games so far this season.
Cunha recently admitted he is looking to leave for a more successful club, so an exit could materialise this summer.
