Manchester United put in another turgid performance at the weekend as they laboured to a 0-0 draw against Manchester City.
A 0-0 draw against the reigning Premier League champions is never a bad result, but, Manchester United’s performance here was poor to say the least.
Bruno Fernandes wasn’t happy with Alejandro Garnacho during the game, but, speaking on Stadium Astro, Carlton Palmer has picked out another player for criticism.
Indeed, Palmer says that Patrick Dorgu simply isn’t good enough, and he doesn’t think he ever will be.

Patrick Dorgu will never be good enough for Manchester United
Palmer shared his view on the £25m man after his performance in the Manchester derby.
The pundit says that Dorgu simply isn’t good enough, and he doesn’t see him ever developing into a player who is good enough.
“Not good enough, absolutely not good enough,” Palmer said.
“He’s 20, at the age of 20 do you think he can develop into someone who’s good enough?” The host asked.
“From what I’ve seen. No. Listen, we’ve played at young ages in the first-team, we’ve come through as young players, he’s an international football player. Drogba was slow to start in the Premier League, but you looked at him and thought he has something. I don’t see what this lad has got,’ Palmer said.
“He’s got to be given time, but I don’t see in three or four years time,”

Palmer says that he doesn’t think Dorgu will ever be good enough after watching him against Manchester City, and it’s not hard to understand why.
Dorgu did have some decent moments against City, he had a couple of chances at goal, and he made two key passes.
However, he was far too lax on the ball, as he was dispossessed three times and had three unsuccessful touches too.

If Dorgu continues being that careless on the ball, he will never make it as a top Premier League player, but, at the age of just 20, it really is far too soon to write him off in the way Palmer has.
Dorgu hasn’t had the smoothest of starts to life at Manchester United, granted, but he still has plenty of time to grow and improve as a player.
Tottenham wanted Dorgu before his Man United move, and this is a young man who does have the potential to be a decent player at this level.
