TBR Football understands that Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is attracting interest from a number of clubs ahead of a potential free transfer move this summer.

Calvert-Lewin is out of contract at Everton this summer and as of now he has rejected the club’s advances over a new deal.

David Moyes’ side haven’t given up hope of the striker signing a new contract, but they are yet to make progress.

Moyes wants to persuade Calvert-Lewin to stay despite another season beset with injury, with the striker currently sidelined since January with a hamstring injury.

And Everton would be loath to lose their number nine on the eve of the move to their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Calvert-Lewin is ready to leave Everton.

Despite his injury concerns, the chance to land a player of his calibre on a free transfer is attracting attention from a number of clubs.

Newcastle retain their strong interest in Calvert-Lewin – Eddie Howe is a huge fan of the striker and the prospect of signing the striker on a free transfer has been impossible to ignore at St James’ Park.

But along with Newcastle who have registered their interest, other Premier League clubs are also circling around the 28-year-old.

Nottingham Forest and West Ham have also made enquiries, as have Manchester United.

United made contact in February but at this point their interest has not progressed any further.

It’s worth mentioning that there is also interest on the continent – TBR understands that Marseille, AC Milan, Juventus and RB Leipzig are among those to have considered a move.

Calvert-Lewin’s injury record at Everton

Given that level of interest, it is worth looking at Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League record over the past few seasons.

Over the past four campaigns Calvert-Lewin has failed to hit double digits mostly owing to the games he’s missed, a familiarly frustrating tale for the England international.

Season Appearances Goals Days missed
2021/22 18 5 145
2022/23 18 2 223
2023/24 38 8 51
2024/25 22 3 106*

Of course, there’s always the hope that the Sheffield-born striker can get back to his best levels once he finds a bit of luck with his fitness.

Everton did expect to sell Calvert-Lewin last summer owing to his contract situation, before he eventually remained at the club.

And it would be a regrettable situation for the Toffees were he to walk away without Everton recouping any kind of transfer fee.
