Some familiar faces will be in town…

Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer has established himself at Inter Milan, but he does think back fondly on his brief time in Bavaria.

“I had a great time here at Bayern and can’t wait to see my former teammates tomorrow. We need to be brave and stay compact. It will be a very interesting game. Bayern press high and play aggressive football. We have to play as we always do and try to get the win here,” said Sommer (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

When Sommer thinks about Jonas Urbig’s chances to make it in Bavaria, he likes the young German’s chances.

“He’s a great goalkeeper. Even though I didn’t watch him a lot, I was impressed with his quality with the ball at his feet. He doesn’t really need my advice. I wish him the best and am looking forward to facing him (on Tuesday),” Sommer said.

Another former Bayern Munich player, who features for Inter Milan is defender Benjamin Pavard, who was part of Hansi Flick’s sextuple winning squad.

“I’m very excited to face Bayern, I spent four fantastic years in Munich. But I won’t have to think about all of that because I’m now playing for Inter and I want to win in Germany,” Pavard told UEFA (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
