Jurgen Klopp will make his return to Liverpool next month, and he may even be at Anfield to see the Reds lift the Premier League title.
The former Reds boss has not been back on Merseyside since he left his role last summer, having been in charge for nearly nine years. The 57-year-old initially took a break from football, before taking up a role as the head of global soccer for Red Bull in January.
Klopp though remains an ambassador for Liverpool, having supported the LFC Foundation throughout his time in charge of the club, and it is in that role that he will make his return to the city next month.
The German is set to be the guest speaker at the LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday, May 23. The event falls the day before Liverpool’s final game of the Premier League season, when it will take on Crystal Palace at Anfield.
According to The Athletic, Klopp has been invited to attend that game, which will see Arne Slot’s side lift the Premier League trophy if they go on to win the title as expected. It’s not yet confirmed whether Klopp will attend the game though.

Klopp’s last appearance at Anfield actually came after his final game in charge of the Reds against Wolves last year. He attended a Taylor Swift concert at the ground with his wife, before the pair moved away from the area.
The former Liverpool boss though has always made his intentions to return clear, with Klopp recently outlining his plans to see his old side celebrate their title triumph in person.
“Yes, the plan is (to be in Liverpool) but not on the bus,” he said.

“That’s the idea to be honest, but we will see. I think I will be there for the last game. I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it. So I go there when it’s decided.”
Despite falling to defeat at Fulham at the weekend, Liverpool remains well on course to win the Premier League title. The Reds are a maximum of 11 points away from being confirmed as champions, with Arsenal still their closest challenger.
Some concerns have started to creep in among supporters after a disappointing recent run which has seen Liverpool lose three of its last four games in all competitions, ending its treble and double hopes in the process. Slot’s side will be aiming to ease any worries against West Ham on Sunday.
