Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 23/24 season.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to make a return to Liverpool before the end of the season.

Klopp shocked the football world back in January 2024 when he announced he would be stepping down as Liverpool boss at the end of the 23/24 campaign.

The German was replaced by former Feyenoord boss Arne Slot in the summer.

Slot has so far done a brilliant job as the Reds are just 11 points away from winning the Premier League title.

Currently, Liverpool are 11 points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table and with just seven matches left to play, are in pole position to seal a 20th top flight title.

Klopp is yet to return to Merseyside since his departure but that is now set to change.

As reported by The Athletic’s James Pearce, who wrote on social media: “Jurgen Klopp to return to Merseyside next month. Set to be announced as guest speaker at LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral.

“Unclear yet whether he will attend final game of the season v Palace. Open invitation from Arne Slot.”

The report stated that Klopp will be the guest speaker at the LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday, May 23.

It has also been suggested that the German has been invited to attend Liverpool’s final Premier League match against Crystal Palace, which will be held at Anfield on May 25.

Recently, Klopp was quizzed on whether he will be in the city for the parade if Liverpool do manage to hold off Arsenal and win the Premier League title.

He replied: “Yes, the plan is (to be in Liverpool) but not on the bus.

“That’s the idea to be honest, but we will see. I think I will be there for the last game. I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it. So I go there when it’s decided.”

Klopp was at the helm when Liverpool won their first ever Premier League title back in the 19/20 season.

However, due to COVID, Klopp and his players were denied the chance to hold a parade around the city of Liverpool.
