It’s a great time to be an Aston Villa fan.

Unai Emery has the Villans sitting seventh in the Premier League, just six points off third, while Aston Villa are also into the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League, where PSG await, as well as the semi-final of the FA Cup.

It has been a fantastic season so far, and the football is also great to watch as talents such as Youri Tielemans and Marcus Rashford – who Aston Villa can buy for £40m – shine.

Now, there has been more good news to come from Villa Park – which has left Morgan Rogers very excited.

Aston Villa players react as Lamare Bogarde signs new contract

Lamare Bogarde has now signed a new contract at Villa Park.

The Villans did not disclose the length of the Netherlands U21 international’s deal, but he is clearly a popular man in the Midlands based on the reaction.

Firstly, Ian Maatsen sent Bogarde as many as five heart emojis when responding to the news on Instagram, while Amadou Onana wrote “braddaaaaaa” – a more ‘street’ version of brother – along with two heart emojis.

In regards to Rogers, he sent seven heart emojis – clearly a huge fan of the Dutchman.

Ezri Konsa also reacted to the news, sending Bogarde a couple of heart emojis – as Lucas Digne ‘liked’ the post too.

RC Strasbourg No.10 Emanuel Emegha – who Everton want to sign – was also seen to have replied, posting two emojis showing heart eyes.

Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings took Lamare Bogarde under their wing

The 21-year-old has enjoyed quite the rise at Villa Park, with few expecting such rapid development after he returned from his loan spell at Bristol Rovers early last season.

A story from The Athletic states that Bogarde has even been doing sessions away from Aston Villa to aid his progress, with Tyrone Mings and Konsa taking the youngster under their wing and mentoring him.

It is also said that the man from Rotterdam enjoys Emery’s detailed analysis sessions, as he is a fan of watching footage to improve his game.

By all accounts, Bogarde is in the perfect place to continue his fine progress.
