Chelsea could have an advantage in the race to sign Jamie Gittens this summer as Borussia Dortmund are considering making a £25m offer for one of their players.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Gittens who is set to leave the Bundesliga this summer and return to England almost five years after leaving Manchester City.
However, the Blues are far from the only club keen on the winger, as Gittens has also been linked to Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The West London club may be confident of their chances of getting him as Dortmund are keen on one of their current players.
Borussia Dortmund impressed by Carney Chukwuemeka
Borussia Dortmund were impressed by Carney Chukwuemeka’s first start for the club on the weekend and will consider paying £25 million to make his move permanent, according to Kicker.
The 21-year-old scored for the German club in his first start away at Freiburg on Saturday as BVB claimed a 4-1 win, with Jamie Gittens also getting on the scoresheet.

Chukwuemeka, who’s been described as ‘unbelievable’, joined Dortmund in January on loan from Chelsea with the option to buy for £25 million, although he has taken his time to get going in Germany.
The midfielder has played just 144 minutes since making the switch to Dortmund, but his display against Freiburg could well change his fortunes.
The German club thought he did really well on his first start and are set to consider taking up their option for him in the summer.
Could Carney Chukwuemeka help Chelsea sign Jamie Gittens?
Dortmund wanting to make Chukwuemeka’s move permanent could be huge for Chelsea in their bid to sign Jamie Gittens.
The Blues have reportedly been watching the winger for quite some time now and in the summer, he is expected to be one of the big names.
Speaking about Chelsea’s interest in Gittens, Fabrizio Romano has just told GiveMeSport: “He’s been on Chelsea’s list for months now, Liverpool have been scouting him too.
“It’s gonna be interesting to see Borussia Dortmund’s stance, but for sure Gittens will be one to watch in the summer. There’s already movement in terms of calls and inquiries.”
