When it comes to the biggest legends in Liverpool history, Steven Gerrard is right up there.
The 44-year-old spent the vast majority of his career at Anfield and his crowning moment was the 2005 Champions League triumph in Istanbul.
Liverpool were underdogs going into the final against a star-studded AC Milan side and things took a turn for the worse as they found themselves 3-0 down at half-time.
However, Gerrard inspired his teammates to a 3-3 draw by full-time before seeing out extra time and then triumphing on penalties.
Gerrard, speaking to Peter Crouch on That Peter Crouch Podcast, shared a moment in his Liverpool career that he said gave him “the same feeling” as Istanbul.

Steven Gerrard says his Liverpool debut brought him as much joy as Istanbul
Gerrard revealed to Crouch that making his debut for Liverpool was just as much a source of pride for him as the 2005 Champions League triumph.
Gerrard explained how he’d been chasing the dream of playing for the Reds for so long and even feared he wasn’t going to make the cut at one point.
“Making my debut was the big one,” said Gerrard. “Because I’d been at Liverpool from seven or eight years of age and I’d chased a dream for so long.
“I remember being on the bench and around the first team, I was so close and I was fearing not getting me debut at the time.
“So when I actually got called to play the last two three minutes against Blackburn it was at Anfield. Wow, what a moment, I just felt on top of the world.”
Gerrard continued: “For me to play in front of 42,000 at the time with my heroes – that was that a proper pinch me moment.
“When I had all the other highs after that I felt like I belonged in the first team but that was like a surreal moment.”
