Two sides still involved in the relegation battle in League One face off at St James Park on Tuesday evening as Exeter City host Wigan Athletic.

Both teams are currently outside the relegation zone, and have a little bit of a cushion between themselves and the relegation spots, but with limited games remaining, there is still work to be done for both teams to ensure survival.

We say: Exeter City 1-1 Wigan Athletic

Exeter hit a decent run of form last month that has really helped their survival hopes in League One, while the visitors are still getting used to life under their new boss.

We do not see a winner in this game, as they are both fairly evenly matched, and with little to separate the two teams in the standings, we are going with a 1-1 draw here.

Set to become familiar foes over the next week, Peterborough United will host Birmingham City at the Weston Homes Stadium in League One on Tuesday night.

The pair battle for third-tier honours at the beginning of this week, before all focus turns to Wembley and an EFL Trophy final between the two clubs next Sunday afternoon.

We say: Peterborough United 1-1 Birmingham City

After a heavy defeat to Northampton on the weekend, Peterborough will be targeting a response against Birmingham at the Weston Homes on Tuesday night.

With excitement building for both sides ahead of Sunday’s Wembley final, the pair could settle on a share of the spoils in this League One clash.

Bolton Wanderers host Rotherham United on Tuesday evening hoping to continue their playoff push in League One.

Having dropped out of the playoff places after Reading‘s 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, the Trotters moved straight back into sixth with a 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers later that day.

We say: Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Rotherham United

Rotherham should not be underestimated for this clash as they have had a couple of wins on the bounce under their interim boss Hamshaw.

However, Bolton have performed well at home this season, so we think that they will edge a close match on Tuesday evening.

Wycombe Wanderers will be bidding to get their automatic promotion challenge back on track when they continue their League One campaign with a clash against playoff hopefuls Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

The away side are currently third in the League One table, six points behind second-placed Wrexham with a game in hand, while Huddersfield are eighth in the division, two points behind sixth-placed Bolton Wanderers.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe have been excellent on their travels this season, but Huddersfield have been solid in front of their own fans, and we are therefore finding it very difficult to pick a winner here, ultimately settling on a low-scoring draw.

Two teams with something to play for in the latter stages of the 2024-25 League One campaign will lock horns at One Call Stadium on Tuesday night, with Mansfield Town welcoming Leyton Orient.

Mansfield are currently 17th in the League One table, eight points ahead of the relegation zone entering the final straight, while Orient sit up in ninth position, six points off the playoff positions in England’s second tier.

We say: Mansfield Town 1-2 Leyton Orient

This should be an interesting watch, as both sides have something to play for late in the campaign; Orient really need a win to boost their playoff hopes, though, and we are backing them to navigate their way to all three points.

Two teams at opposite ends of the League One table will clash on Tuesday evening as bottom-of-the-table Shrewsbury Town take on playoff-hopefuls Reading at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

The hosts are at the foot of the standings and trail safety by 13 points, while the visitors are seventh in the league, just one point outside of the playoff places.

We say: Shrewsbury Town 0-2 Reading

The two teams are experiencing vastly contrasting 2024-25 campaigns, and given the stark difference in form, we expect Reading to comfortably win this one.
