Tottenham Hotspur journalist Alasdair Gold has noticed something which has changed about Lucas Bergvall in recent club footage.
The 19-year-old has been really impressive for Spurs over recent months with Ange Postecoglou subbing him off against Chelsea really frustrating supporters.
Now, Tottenham are ready to give Bergvall a new contract to reward his incredible progress this season and to ensure his future is locked down in North London.
The midfielder is now one of the first names on Postecoglou’s teamsheet and Gold has spotted something which has changed about him.

Lucas Bergvall is starting to look physically stronger at Tottenham Hotspur and appears to have bulked up, claims Alasdair Gold.
Bergvall had a questionable start to life at Tottenham, however, he has certainly overcome his struggles and looks well suited to life in English football.
Bergvall’s performances have left Barcelona gutted they didn’t sign him, having had him stolen from under their noses by Spurs back in January 2024.
Speaking on Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, Gold claimed: “He’s turning into a big lad as well, I watched the footage of the players coming out the tunnel and he is properly bulking up.
“Every time I see him he looks a little bit stronger and stronger and I know Ange said it’s because he keeps following Deki (Kulusevski) in the gym.
“But it’s impacting his play as well, he’s so much stronger on the ball. He’s going to be one of the first names on the team sheet going forward.”

VAR took nearly five minutes to deem that Cristian Romero was in an offside position, much to the frustration of Postecoglou and the young Swede.
