A team loss that sets up a dicey second leg at San Siro.
Bayern Munich’s 1-2 loss to Inter Milan was a tactical battle between the two sides. So naturally it was defined by several very big individual moments. Harry Kane’s misses, Thomas Müller’s very Thomas Müller goal…and a defense that fell apart in the wrong places at the wrong moments.
Here is how fotmob rated the Bayern performances:
FotMob player ratings from the first leg in Munich, where Inter beat Bayern 2-1 on the night.
At first glance that is harsh on Jonas Urbig in particular given that he had very little chance of stopping either goal and had come up with a big save as well.
But overall, it will be hard to argue that the Italian side showed up on Tuesday — far more than their Bavarian counterparts.
