Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Vinicius Junior this summer, with the Brazilian potentially leaving Bernabeu in the biggest transfer of all time.
The 24-year-old has developed into one of the leading players in world football during his time with Real Madrid, boasting a record of 104 goals and 77 assists in 308 appearances for the European and Spanish champions in all competitions.
This season, Vinicius has 19 goals and 14 assists in 43 outings for Carlo Ancelotti‘s side, but he has put in a number of underwhelming performances in 2024-25, including against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Brazil international was unable to make his mark in his side’s 3-0 defeat in the first leg of their quarter-final, and according to Fichajes, a major decision has now been made by the club following the loss in London.
The report claims that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to listen to offers for Vinicius, as there are concerns surrounding Kylian Mbappe‘s output in certain matches while Vinicius is also in the side.
Real Madrid ‘ready to sell’ Vinicius this summer
A move to another European club would be impossible due to the numbers involved; Paris Saint-Germain, in theory, could afford him, but Real Madrid would not be willing to sell him to a Champions League rival.
As a result, a move to Saudi Arabia is the most likely outcome due to the numbers involved.
An offer of €300m (£255m) could allegedly be submitted to Real Madrid from the Saudi Pro League, with Vinicius then being offered €200m (£170m) a season on a five-year deal.
Vinicius is believed to be open to making the move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career, and Real Madrid head coach Ancelotti recently opened the door to a potential move for the attacker.
“I understand everything. In football I understand everything. I also understood that [Toni] Kroos left football… and that few did. These decisions are individual,” Ancelotti told reporters.
Who could replace Vinicius at Real Madrid?
Victor Osimhen is believed to be of interest to Real Madrid, with the capital team said to be considering making a move for the Nigeria international during this summer’s transfer window.
The forward is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, and he has represented the Turkish side on 32 occasions during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 28 goals and registering five assists in the process.
Manchester United are also being heavily linked with the 26-year-old, but Real Madrid could sign him to lead their line, with Mbappe then moving into his favoured left-sided attacking role.
Osimhen has scored 76 goals and registered 12 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli, and it is believed that he could be available for a fee in the region of €72m (£62m) this summer, meaning that he could comfortably be signed within the potential Vinicius pay-out.
