Arsenal fans have been reacting to the performance of their key summer transfer target Nico Williams against Rangers as Athletic Bilbao were held to a goalless draw in Glasgow.
The Spanish club will be frustrated not to have taken advantage of playing against a Rangers side who had ten men from the 13th minute.
Bilbao had 71 per cent possession, 19 attempts at goal but failed to really threaten Liam Kelly’s goal with their attack looking rather toothless at times.
The Arsenal transfer target was a key part of their attack, however, his display in Glasgow has the Gunners’ supporters questioning whether they should sign him.

Arsenal fans were left unimpressed by Nico Williams’ display against Rangers as he failed to offer much of a threat against the Scottish club.
Despite facing a Rangers side who lost Robin Propper to a sending off in the early stages, Williams and his teammates failed to capitalise on the opportunity.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Williams, with Mikel Arteta making the 22-year-old one of his key targets for the summer.
New sporting director Andrea Berta is believed to have held talks with Williams already about the possibility of moving to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
After the match, Arsenal fans took to X to share their concerns over the Spanish winger’s display at Ibrox and raised question marks over signing him.
One fan wrote: “Saka tore Real Madrid apart. Williams is doing nothing against 10-man Rangers but wants to be one of the highest-paid players. He needs to lower his expectations.”
Another supporter claimed: “Williams is struggling against Rangers in the Europa League, but he wants £250k-per-week to play for Arsenal.”
There was yet more criticism for Williams’ display: “Nico Williams had the same number of accurate passes (19) as possession lost. Rangers were down to 10 men from the 13th minute.”
Finally, another fan stated: “Nico Williams has done absolutely nothing against 10-man Rangers.”
Was Nico Williams really that underwhelming against Rangers?
It was a frustrating match for Williams who most notably managed to lose possession on 19 occasions which was the second highest of the evening.

The Spaniard also completed just three of his seven dribble attempts and won the same number of duels from 11 battles.
Arsenal would have to pay £50 million for Williams and his £250k-per-week wage demands and they might be questioning whether he’s worth that after watching his display in Glasgow.
