Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Chelsea defender Renato Veiga who is currently on loan at Juventus, TBR Football can exclusively reveal.
Chelsea decided to let Veiga leave on loan for the Serie A in January owing to his limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
Veiga has since played eight times for Juventus, including two matches in the Champions League.
The Portugal international is able to play in a number of positions and Chelsea have been impressed with Veiga out on loan, a 21-year-old with a bright future ahead.
Veiga already made 18 appearances for Enzo Maresca’s side before switching clubs in January, and perhaps his most encouraging moments did come in the Europa Conference League.
Tottenham and Brighton interested in Renato Veiga
That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that both Tottenham and Brighton & Hove Albion are paying close attention to Veiga’s situation.
Chelsea are expecting Veiga back this summer and it’s understood that they have been pretty happy with how he’s looking in Turin.

Juventus will explore other options and it’s not a massive failure on Veiga’s part that they are not necessarily interested in a permanent deal – he was only ever filling an immediate need.
Therefore, Veiga could have a future at Chelsea given there’s also a real chance that Beniot Badiashile could be moved on, which would free up space for a left-sided defender.
Veiga wants to be a centre-back ideally, and it can’t be ruled out that the 21-year-old remains with Chelsea’s first team heading into next season.
But given some slight uncertainty, clubs like Tottenham and Brighton are keeping close tabs on the situation, perhaps spotting an opportunity to nab the youngster.
Roberto Martinez has praised Renato Veiga
Of course, Veiga should be praised for how he’s adapted to both English and Italian football since making a £12m move to Chelsea from FC Basel last summer.
In addition, the towering defender has also begun his Portugal career in the process, earning praise from current manager Roberto Martinez.
Martinez was speaking via A Bola after a 3-1 win over Poland at the end of last year, describing Veiga’s efforts as ‘incredible’.
Martinez said: “I’m very pleased because he didn’t play like a young player, he showed incredible maturity.
“He had a good connection with Ruben Dias and Nuno Mendes. And it was demanding to play against Poland and against Lewandowski.
“He was a focused and aggressive central defender, he won all the duels, he’s very strong in the air. I really enjoyed his debut.”
An excellent young talent, and one that Chelsea might be reluctant to lose to their London rivals.
