Manchester City have reportedly identified one of Tottenham Hotspur‘s first-team players as a potential target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Big changes are expected at the Etihad Stadium with Pep Guardiola‘s side to resume their much-needed squad rebuild in the summer after spending around £180m on four players in January.
Man City’s transfer activity will likely depend on whether they will qualify for next season’s Champions League, with the Citizens currently sitting sixth in the Premier League table and just one point behind the top five with seven games remaining.
Last season’s top-flight champions are expected to prioritise the addition of at least one new midfielder now that Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
However, Man City are also expected to strengthen their options in defence and a new name from the Premier League has emerged as possible target.

Man City interested in Udogie?
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man City’s will sign a new full-back and their summer transfer window plans are likely to include the addition of a new right-back, as Kyle Walker will leave the club even if AC Milan decide against activating their €5m (£4.2m) option to buy the England international.
Romano has also suggested, via GiveMeSport, that the Citizens are looking to bolster their options at left-back and have added Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie to their shortlist.
Man City’s incoming sporting director Hugo Viana is said to ‘appreciate’ Udogie and has been tracking the Italy international since his time at Serie A side Udinese.
The Citizens rate the 22-year-old highly and are said to admire his physicality, ability to play on both flanks and Premier League-proven status.

Could Spurs let Udogie leave this summer?
Man City hold an interest in Udogie even though the youngster has endured a difficult 2024-25 campaign for a Spurs side who are currently languishing 14th in the Premier League table.
Udogie joined Tottenham from Udinese for around £15m in July 2022 and has earned plenty of praise over the past couple of seasons for his performances at left-back.
He has featured in 29 matches across all competitions this season, but his form has dipped and he has also struggled with a hamstring injury.
Tottenham’s valuation of Udogie is currently unknown and is it thought that they have no immediate plans to part ways with a player who still has five years remaining on his contract in North London.
However, a recent report claims that Spurs have identified Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell as a potential replacement for Udogie.
Udogie is one a number of full-backs who has been linked with a move to Man City along with Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong and Newcastle United’s Valentino Livramento.
