As Milan navigates the competitive challenges on the field, a quiet revolution is unfolding off it. With eyes already set on the 2025-26 season, the club’s identity is undergoing a visual transformation. While the core values remain intact, the details of Milan’s next kit cycle have surfaced online — and they tell a story of heritage, daring color choices, and emblematic reinvention.

According to early leaks from Footy Headlines and Opaleak, Milan’s away and third kits for the upcoming campaign will mark significant departures from the norm. The Rossoneri are embracing fresh design philosophies that reflect both their past and their future — and stars like Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are set to debut these looks that may redefine how fans view the club’s iconic red and black.

Ever since the Rossoneri parted ways with Adidas in 2018, Puma has become more than a kit manufacturer — it’s been a creative partner. Now, Puma is pushing the aesthetic boundaries further than ever before.

As previously reported, the new home kit will feature a monochrome emblem for the first time in club history — a sleek, modern white badge replacing the iconic red, black, and gold crest. Subtly embedded into the red-and-black stripes will be an embossed devil pattern, a nod to the club’s fierce nickname, ‘Il Diavolo’.

But if the home kit is an artistic evolution, the away and third jerseys go one step further — into bold reinterpretation.

Devil’s return: Historic away jersey

Milan’s 2025-26 away shirt pays tribute to the club’s heritage in stunning fashion. The base design is all white, with a black collar and red details. But what truly sets it apart is the return of the ‘Diavoletto’ logo — a small red devil used on the kits from 1979 to 1982, and part of the club’s identity until 1987.

“The shirt will feature the stylised red devil crest, with the star remaining above the logo,” reports Footy Headlines. “Both the crest and Puma logo will be red, bordered in black.”

This marks the first time in nearly four decades that the Serie A giant will wear a shirt in official competition adorned with the little devil as the primary crest — a powerful callback to a gritty, fearless era in club lore.

Yellow returns with a splash of Brazil

If the away kit whispers history, the third kit shouts innovation. Milan is reportedly set to wear a vibrant yellow shirt, for the first time since the 2014-15 season, a bold move that’s bound to divide opinions. Leaks describe the shirt as having a yellow base adorned with “subtle geometric patterns” and a distinctive dark green collar, reminiscent of classic Brazil national team jerseys and Kaka‘s final games for the Rossoneri.

Opaleak and Footy Headlines also report that “the technical sponsor’s logo and the team’s crest will be red,” standing out against the bright fabric. In some earlier drafts, there were mentions of light brown and grey accents, but the finalized version appears to settle on a more cohesive chromatic contrast of yellow, red, and green.

It’s a far cry from the minimalist away shirt, but the third kit continues a recent trend of adventurous third jerseys — from psychedelic hues in 2023-24 to mint-grey freshness in the current season.
