Pep Guardiola’s side are coming to this game on the back of a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at the Old Trafford in the Premier League. Nathan Ake, John Stones, Rodri, Erling Haaland, and Manuel Akanji are set to be sidelined from this game due to injury. In this piece, let us take a look at the predicted lineup of Manchester City against Crystal Palace.

4-2-3-1 Manchester City Predicted Lineup Against Crystal Palace:

Defence:

Ederson is expected to start as the goalkeeper for the fixture as he has been the first-choice goalkeeper for Pep Guardiola’s side. City have not conceded any goals in the last two games, and hence, Pep Guardiola might be using the same backline against Palace. Rico Lewis is expected to start as the right-back, and Nico O’Reilly is expected to start as the left-back. Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol are expected to retain their spots as the center-backs for the team.

Midfield:

Nico Gonzalez is expected to be back as the defensive midfielder in this game and will replace Kovacic as his like-for-like replacement, and Ilkay Gundogan is expected to start with him as the other defensive midfielder. Kevin de Bruyne is expected to be back in the team for the first time as captain after announcing his departure from City. He will feature as the central attacking midfielder.

Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden are expected to be replaced in the playing XI, and Savinho might start as the right midfielder and Doku as the left midfielder to provide width to the team.

Attack:

Omar Marmoush is expected to be entrusted with the role of striker in the absence of Erling Haaland, and City will depend on him to score the goals in this game.
