Even before that historic 3-0 win over Real Madrid, Arsenal could boast strong pulling power ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners can offer attractive salaries, play some beautiful football under Mikel Arteta, and also provide transfer targets with the opportunity to live in London – making Arsenal one of the most enticing clubs in Europe.
Furthermore, Arsenal have been close to winning the Premier League title for three seasons now – suggesting they are a serious, competitive outfit – so major titles are also on the line for potential arrivals.
Now, this allure could see Jarrad Branthwaite swap Everton for Arsenal – with the Toffees expecting the England international to leave Goodison Park this summer.
Everton expect Jarrad Branthwaite exit as Arsenal plot move
A story from The Sun now states that Everton expect to lose the centre-back this summer.
It comes after TBR Football were told that Arsenal have decided to make a move for Branthwaite at the end of the season – with Chelsea also keen on the man from Carlisle.
The Sun state that senior figures at Goodison Park have already accepted the 22-year-old will leave this summer given the volume of interest in him, and have placed a £50m price tag on his head.

Branthwaite only has two years left on his contract, so Everton risk being forced to accept a much lower fee in the summer of 2026 if they do not sanction a sale this summer – by which point he would only have 12 months left on his deal.
Jarrad Branthwaite could replace Jakub Kiwior
Jakub Kiwior shone against Real Madrid – truly stepping up in the absence of Gabriel Magalhaes – but there are doubts surrounding the Poland international’s future in N5.
Napoli want to sign Kiwior – who has been described as the first potential sale under Andrea Berta, the new Director of Football at Arsenal.
If the Italian giants offer a tempting amount of money and can convince the Pole to join, we could well see Branthwaite arrive in north London as his replacement.
