Danke, Danks.

Set pieces are an important part of the game and Bayern Munich and Germany men’s national team corner-taker Joshua Kimmich is working hard to stay on top of it.

A new report in Sport Bild captures how Kimmich and Bayern assistant Aaron Danks, who is in charge of set pieces, have been working to hone his corner deliveries. As captured by @iMiaSanMia:

Joshua Kimmich practiced corner kicks in training using brand new special nets with a neon-yellow target in the middle. Kimmich repeatedly aimed his corners into the different nets that were positioned at different positions in front of the goal. Assistant coach Aaron Danks is responsible for corner and set-piece training; he also practiced with Kimmich using the new nets [@BILD]

Cue the portion of the fanbase who are going to chime in and say Kimmich doesn’t take good corners…but this year’s performances, particularly in the Champions League and Nations League, say otherwise.
