March nominees
Amiri picked up a first Germany cap since 2020 against Italy in the UEFA Nations League during the recent international break. It was just reward for the midfielder, whose fantastic form this campaign carried on into March. The 28-year-old is one of the first names Mainz’s teamsheet – he started each of the 05ers’ last four matches, and was only taken off in two. Thanks to Amiri’s continuing crucial impact, Bo Henriksen’s side remain on course for a maiden UEFA Champions League spot.
