Tottenham Hotspur entertained Eintracht Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal tie. Spurs made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opener in the sixth minute when Hugo Ekitike got his name on the scoresheet. However, Ange Postecoglu’s men responded in the 26th minute when Pedro Porro found the back of the net. The two teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

The North London club failed to find the winning goal in the second half and had to settle for a 1-1 draw in North London.

Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham Hotspur player fared during the clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – 6/10

He made one solid save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.

RB: Pedro Porro – 7.5/10

Porro performed his defensive duties well and made two decent chances going forward. He was responsible for scoring the equaliser in the 26th minute.

CB: Cristian Romero – 6.5/10

He put his foot through the ball when required but there was no clean sheet for him.

CB: Micky van de Ven – 7/10

Van de Ven gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch.

LB: Destiny Udogie – 6.5/10

Udogie made two positive runs with the ball but was far from convincing defensively.

CM: Lucas Bergvall – 7/10

He made a couple of crucial interceptions at the centre of the park.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 8/10

Bentancur anchored the midfield with conviction and was a threat in the opponent’s half.

CM: James Maddison – 7/10

Maddison was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

RW: Brennan Johnson – 6.5/10

He made two good runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.

ST: Dominic Solanke – 6/10

Solanke caught the eye at times but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

LW: Heung-min Son – 6.5/10

He did his best to cause a few headaches for his marker and was replaced in the 79th minute.

Substitutes:

RB: Djed Spence – 6/10

He made one decent chance in the final third.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr – 6/10

Sarr added some energy to Postecoglu’s midfield.

ST: Mathys Tel – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

ST: Richarlison – N/A
