Müller headed for Skyline Chili? (Daily Mail)

Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller might be looking to extend his career and, if so, FC Cincinnati could be the frontrunner to land him:

MLS side Cincinnati FC have emerged as leading contenders to sign Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller this summer.

Mail Sport understands the Eastern Conference outfit have the discovery rights for Muller who came off the bench to score for Bayern in their Champions League quarter final first leg defeat to Inter Milan on Tuesday evening.

LAFC, partner club to Bayern, San Diego and FC Dallas have also been credited with interest as Muller prepares to make a decision over his next career move in the coming weeks.

Muller is understood to be looking for a multi-year contract worth around 5-6m dollars a year. However, Cincinnati, coached by Pat Noonan, are understood to have first call should the US be his chosen destination.

The longstanding theory/prediction/prophecy that we have long held here that would see Thomas Müller end up in Ohio could actually happen. Imagine that!

Anyway, this author does not want to see Müller in MLS, but it appears that the 35-year-old is at least considering it.

Two more years for Ronaldo? (ESPN)

Cristiano Ronaldo looks like he could be leaning toward a two-year contract extension with Al Nassr:

Saudi side Al Nassr have offered 40-year-old forward Cristiano Ronaldo a new two-year contract, according to Sportitalia. Ronaldo’s current terms expire in June 2025 and he will be a free agent in the summer if he doesn’t put pen to paper. The Portugal international is still scoring, as he has 30 goals in 34 appearances this season, and is ready to continue his career. In August, Ronaldo insisted he would stay with Al Nassr until the end of his career and admitted that could be “soon, or in two or three years.”

Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 4, Episode 38 (Bavarian Football Works)

Bayern Munich has had a tough go of late, but there is time to rebound.

With key match-ups ahead, the Bavarians are going to have to shake off any cobwebs and get focused on winning the Bundesliga, while also keeping their Champions League hopes alive. Let’s talk about all of that and more on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up. This is what we have on tap.

  • Bayern Munich fans have had a tough couple of weeks. Sure, some of these issues were unforeseen, but — ultimately — this is not a horrible spot for the team to be in at this stage of the season. Let’s discuss why!
  • German outlet kicker is reporting that Florian Wirtz is reconsidering his rumored contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen and could be available this summer. Bayern Munich might be willing to take out a loan to afford him…should they make the move?
  • Thomas Müller to FC Cincinnati?
  • Does Bayern Munich need to shed a midfielder this summer? If so…who? Tom Bischof could be arriving ready to play.
  • A very brief Entertainment Rundown update.

Bayern, City, LFC eyeing Inter’s Barella? (Sempre Inter)

Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, and Manchester City are reportedly among the teams keeping a close eye on Inter Milan midfielder Nico Barella:

Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella is worth no less than €100 million, as Liverpool line up a summer move. This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They highlight the Italian international’s stellar display against Bayern Munich.

Midfielder Nicolo Barella certainly showcased his talents at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening.

The 28-year-old was the outstanding player in the midfield battle as Inter got a massive result in the form of a 2-1 win in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

Inter Milan would not even pick up the phone for bids under €100 million. So far, Inter and Barella have resisted all the transfer interest – of which there has been no shortage.

Most recently, Al-Hilal tried to bring Barella to Saudi Arabia. They tempted Barella with a contract worth an eye-watering €35 million net per season. However, Barella turned this down flatly.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are also long-term admirers of Barella. However, so far he has always rejected the advances of Pep Guardiola. Then, Bayern Munich are also among Barella’s suitors. And therefore, it was perhaps fitting that the 28-year-old would put in such a fine display on the Bavarians’ home turf.

For this summer, the Gazzetta anticipate, Liverpool appear to be the club with the strongest interest in making a big move for Barella. But there is little sign that the Italian international would have his head turned. And it certainly wouldn’t be for cheap.

It would seem very doubtful that Bayern Munich would be poised and ready to make a play for any player whose price tag is nine figures — except Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz. For Manchester City or Liverpool, this could be legit, but for Bayern Munich? Eh…it is a longshot.

Barca, Tah look like a match (Sport via 90Min.com)

Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah has been eyeing a move for over a year now and it looks like his land spot could be with FC Barcelona:

Barcelona have reassured Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah that they plan to sign him on a free transfer this summer following speculation they could walk away from negotiations.

Bayern, City, PSG, Real among clubs eyeing Gila (City Xtra)

Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain are all reportedly interested in Lazio midfielder Mario Gila:

Manchester City are seriously considering the possibility of signing Mario Gila from Lazio to bolster their centre-half options ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, as per a new report.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, whose information has been relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are seriously considering the possibility of signing Mario Gila from Lazio to bolster their centre-back options in the summer.

City are said to be unfazed by a reported price tag of €50 million for Gila, with the 24-year-old Spaniard also attracting interest from Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain as well as former club Real Madrid, whom he left to join Lazio in the summer of 2022.

Gündoğan to Galatasaray? (Fanatik via 90Min.com)

Galatasaray could be plotting a move for Manchester City midfielder İlkay Gündoğan:

Turkish giants Galatasaray are looking to sign Manchester City midfielder İlkay Gündoğan this summer. The German is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to be offered an extension.
