Mohamed Salah was spotted wearing an extremely rare watch which can only be bought in certain countries during his Liverpool contract signing.

The Reds announced on Friday morning that Salah had extended his contract at Anfield until the summer of 2027.

His existing deal was due to expire this summer, with the 32-year-old now set to complete 10 full seasons on Merseyside should he see out the new contract in its entirety.

He is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 27, while his tally of 17 assists is also the highest in the division.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Salah said: “Of course I’m very excited … I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.

“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.”

While signing his contract, Salah was wearing an extremely rare accessory.

The Egyptian was wearing a Richard Mille watch – which is only available to purchase in select countries around the world.

In total, the Swiss luxury watch brand operates out of 20 countries, islands or territories, with six different stores in the United States.

The sole store in the UK is stationed in London, with many of their other outlets situated in Asian countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Perhaps the most remote location is in Gustavia, the capital of the Caribbean island of Saint Barthelemy.

In sport, Richard Mille has had a long association with Formula 1 and has partnerships with drivers Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris as well as the McLaren and Ferrari teams.

It also lists Jamaican sprinting stars Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Yohan Blake among its partners, as well as Chelsea icon Didier Drogba and World Rally Championship legend Sebastian Loeb.

The exact make of Salah’s watch is the RM 17-02 Tourbillon.

The cost comes in at a cool £609,997 through luxury watch sellers Chrono24.

They do not, however, offer shipping to the United Kingdom – if you have a spare £609,997 lying around and were thinking of buying it.

The official Richard Mille website details the watch as having a ‘manual winding tourbillon movement with hours, minutes, power-reserve (of 70 hours) and function indicators’.

It also notes how the watch has been constructed ‘according to extremely rigorous specifications, in the manner of the analytical engineering methods used in the design of Formula 1 racing cars’.

Now he’s signed a new contract, Salah may be on the lookout for his next luxury watch.
