Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to ring the changes for Sunday’s La Liga contest with Alaves.
Los Blancos will enter the match off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night, which has left the reigning champions in a tough spot ahead of the return fixture.
Ancelotti is expected to rest a number of his big-hitters for this contest, with Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior among those set to drop out of the side.
Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy could both be back in the squad following recent issues, but Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao remain unavailable for selection due to long-term injuries.
Andriy Lunin is likely to be back in the squad following a recent calf issue, while the expectation is that Federico Valverde will be fit despite suffering a small problem during the clash with Arsenal on Tuesday night.
David Alaba is a major doubt, though, due to an injury that he sustained against Arsenal, while Rudiger has recently been dealing with knee and hip issues, so it is very difficult to imagine him being included in the team for this match.
Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and Endrick are all expected to earn spots in the XI this weekend, while Aurelien Tchouameni may be required in the middle of the defence.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Tchouameni, F Garcia; Camavinga, Modric; Rodrygo, Guler, Brahim; Endrick
