Bayern Munich hosts BVB in Der Klassiker…

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has been at the club long enough to understand the magnitude of each and every match between his club and Borussia Dortmund.

“This is an important game for both teams. We sat in the dressing room and were disappointed after Inter, yes—but we also took away the fact that the performance was good. We want to build on that tomorrow with a win and then travel to Milan with the good feeling and energy of a win,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

While he was on the dais, Freund was also asked about the recent rumours regarding a summer transfer move for Florian Wirtz and a new contract for Leroy Sané.

“Rumours are part of the business, it’s part of the game. We’re in talks with Leroy, like we are with Eric Dier — and were with Thomas Müller. There’s nothing more to say at the moment,” Freund stated.
