The Magpies will be without manager Eddie Howe, who was admitted to hospital after suffering from illness in the build-up to today’s game. They’ll be hoping to build on his success this season, with the chance to go just a point behind third-placed Nottingham Forest.

As for the visitors, Ruben Amorim’s side will likely be going all-in on the Europa League, with their dismal season looking destined to end in a bottom-half finish in the Premier League. United will be aiming to bounce back after the disappointment of conceding a last-minute equalizer against Lyon in midweek.

Here’s all you need to know in order to be able to watch the match…

What time is kick-off?

The game kicks off at 4:30 pm in the UK, which is 8:30 am Pacific Time and 11:30 am Eastern Time in the US. Chris Kavanagh is the referee for the clash at St James’ Park, with Peter Bankes on VAR duty. The two sides last met back in December, when Newcastle eased to a 2-0 win at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton.

Is the match on TV?

Fans in the UK will be able to watch the game live on TV, with coverage available on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League straight after Liverpool’s game against West Ham.

In the US, the game can be watched live on the USA Network and streamed via NBC.com.

Fans in the UK will also be able to catch extended highlights on Match of the Day, which is scheduled to be shown at 10:30 pm on BBC One and will include highlights from Sunday’s other games, including Liverpool vs West Ham.

Early team news

As well as missing its manager today, Newcastle also has doubts over two of its biggest names. Both Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon are carrying knocks, and would be huge misses for the Magpies if they end up missing out.

The hosts will definitely be without Lewis Hall, Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman through injury, while Joe Willock is set to be missing as he undergoes concussion protocols.

As for the visitors, Manchester United’s defensive woes continue, with Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Ayden Heaven and Jonny Evans all set to miss out again. Amad Diallo also remains out, along with young midfielder Toby Collyer.
