Mohamed Salah achieved two record feats with his assist against West Ham.
The Liverpool forward set up Luis Diaz to open the scoring at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Diaz put the hosts in front after just 18 minutes as they close in on the Premier League title.
Salah’s assist is his 18th in the Premier League this season, taking his tally of goal contributions to 45 this term.
It is the most combined goals and assists a player has recorded during a 38-game season.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian is the first player to provide 18 assists in the competition since Kevin De Bruyne in 2019/20.
The Manchester City midfielder tallied 20 assists during that campaign, a figure which Salah could still surpass.
