TBR Football understands Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa could be heading to England this summer, and it might be to their BlueCo’s sister club Chelsea.
The West London club are one of several Premier League teams that have been monitoring the 22-year-old’s progress and he’s played a big part in Strasbourg’s impressive campaign in Ligue 1.
Liam Rosenior’s side are making a strong push for the European spots in France as they are currently sitting in fifth place and just three points off third.
Strasbourg have some impressive young talents in their squad and one of those players is Bakwa – which is why he has big interest from England.
Tottenham and West Ham could rival Chelsea for Dilane Bakwa
Sources have told Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football that Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have also been keeping close tabs on Dilane Bakwa.
Meanwhile, in addition to the three London clubs, Newcastle United and Brentford have been watching the youngster and the Bees could envisage him as a potential replacement for Bryan Mbeumo.
Chelsea have already decided to bring back Andrey Santos this summer after his brilliant campaign, whilst they have also assessed striker Emanuel Emegha, although a move elsewhere in England currently is the most likely outcome for him.
The Blues have been keeping a close eye on Bakwa – who has been brilliant on the right side for Strasbourg, and TBR Football understands club personnel have been hugely impressed with him.
However, TBR Football can reveal that Chelsea could face strong competition from their London rivals, Tottenham and West Ham, who have been checking on the £26m winger in recent weeks.
There is also competition from across Europe with Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Marseille also watching him.

Bakwa has 11 goal contributions this season for Strasbourg with four goals and nine assists coming in the French top flight.

The young winger’s form for Strasbourg this season saw him earn his second start for the French Under-21 squad and he impressed with an assist.
He looks to be one of the most promising young stars in a very exciting Strasbourg and his future looks set to be in the Premier League.
