No pointing fingers…

After Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund, head coach Vincent Kompany was asked about center-back Kim Min-jae’s misplay, which led to Maximilian Beier’s opening goal for Borussia Dortmund.

Clearly, the center-back misjudged the flight of the ball and also failed to get his body positioning in front of the gangly Beier. Instead of offering criticism of the play, Kompany wanted all of the messaging to stay positive as the team enters a crucial week for its season.

“I don’t want to explain that now. We have a depleted squad. We don’t talk much about our absences, but several players were missing today. We need every player. The guys who are here now have to get the results and perform. It’s not always easy,” said Kompany (via @iMiaSanMia).

Min-jae will have to shake that one pretty quickly as he will be counted upon to play a vital role against Inter Milan later this week.
