It will come to a head in Milan on Wednesday.

Bayern Munich is in the middle of a brutal stretch of games, having faced off against Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately, the Bavarians were unable to come away from either game with a victory but none of that will matter if they can beat Inter in Italy in the second leg of the Champions League tie. Both of the aforementioned games, however, have clearly demonstrated various weaknesses of Bayern’s current team that viewers will be able to spot. Inter manager Simone Inzaghi was, of course, privy to his team’s victory in Munich.

And he made sure he could watch the clash against BVB, as well. This he confirmed following the Italian champions’ 3-1 win over Cagliari: “I’ll definitely watch it, we know what kind of opponent we will face on Wednesday,” the Italian manager said, via @iMiaSanMia. “We will try to play another big game because nothing has been decided and we’ll be facing a very good opponent.”

Bayern are up against a well rested side, intelligent side that is well marshaled by an excellent coach, who has now finally managed his first victory against Bayern. The odds will certainly be against the Bavarians in this tie. But if the team managed to shake off its’ poor run of form, it could still do special things.
