After all, mono is not an illnesss to mess around with. With that extended period now over with following his substitute appearance in the 2-2 Bundesliga draw with Borussia Dortmund, Aleksandar Pavlović spoke about the difficulties that came with the illness:
“Luckily, it was diagnosed early. I had a kind of flu for five or six days, and then, thank God, nothing more,” the Bayern youth academy graduate said, via @iMiaSanMia. “But it was hard not being able to do any sports. Family and friends were there for me. Now I’m happy to be back. Apart from one or two mistakes, I’ve had a good start.”

Pavlović: “The coach has to decide that. But I’m always ready to be in the starting lineup.”
Given the Germany international has not started for over a month now, it would be a very brave decision to push him straight into the starting lineup. But the midfield is looking shaky and perhaps Pavlović’s return to fitness could be just what the team needs to get back on track.
