Arsenal are into the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009 after knocking out Real Madrid.

The Gunners produced one of the great European displays to take a commanding lead to Spain on Wednesday night.

And they then backed that up with a victory at the Bernabeu, winning 2-1 to wrap the tie up and progress.

The Champions League is the last chance for Arsenal to win something this season after crashing out of both domestic cups.

The Premier League is also slipping away, with Liverpool needing just six more points to seal the title.

So the Gunners will be fully focused on going all the way in the Europe – but they will then face a very tough test…

Who will Arsenal face in the Champions League semi-finals?

After beating Real Madrid, Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germain.

The French giants managed to get past Aston Villa in the quarter-finals, though it was a close call.

PSG beat Unai Emery‘s men 3-1 in the first leg at the Parc des Princes, meaning it was all set up for the return leg.

Luis Enrique‘s side raced into a two-goal lead to take control of the tie.

However, Villa hit back with three goals to leave them needing just one more to take the match to extra-time.

But PSG regained their composure and squeezed through as they look to win UEFA’s premier competition for the first time.

Despite this wobble, PSG are still an excellent side and are playing some of the best football in Europe.

But there are positives for Arsenal to hold onto.

PSG have lost two of their last four Champions League games, while they’ve already faced the Gunners this season.

The two met in the League Phase at the Emirates, and Arsenal won 2-0.

At that point, it looked like PSG wouldn’t even make it out of the opening round, while Ousmane Dembele didn’t play for disciplinary reasons.

But things have now clicked for PSG, and Dembele has been one of the best players in the world in 2025.

In the four previous times they’ve met, the Gunners are unbeaten.
