The Cherries are still in the hunt for a Europa League or Europa Conference League spot after an excellent campaign under Andoni Iraola.

They have fallen off a little bit in the last two months, but the fact they are even in contention for European football is a testament to the club.

Meanwhile, Man United’s season all comes down to the Europa League semi-final.

The Red Devils produced a dramatic comeback to knock Lyon out in the quarter-finals to set up a tie against Athletic Bilbao.

This is their final game before the first leg, so expect some rotation.

Bournemouth vs Man United: Antoine the dream

A key man behind Bournemouth‘s excellent season has been Antoine Semenyo.

The striker signed from Bristol City has been converted into a winger by Iraola.

He can play on either side and has terrified opposition full-backs with his impressive dribbling and skill off both feet..

Semenyo isn’t shy about getting his shots away either, smashing in well over 70.

He only has eight goals, but the raw talent for him to be a 15-goal plus forward is definitely there.

Semenyo has all the ingredients to be a top player
  • Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games against Man Utd (W2 D1), picking up as many points in these games (7) as they had in their first 12 against the Red Devils (W2 D1 L9).
  • Manchester United have conceded eight goals in their last three Premier League games against Bournemouth, as many as they had in their previous 11 against the Cherries.
  • Bournemouth could be the sixth different side to complete the league double over Manchester United this season, the most in a single campaign since 1933-34 (6), and most in a top-flight campaign since 1930-31 (9).
  • Only Cole Palmer (78) has created more chances in the Premier League this season than Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes (77). Fernandes also has nine assists this term, only reaching double figures in 2020-21 (12).
  • Only Wolves (12) have conceded more goals from corners in the Premier League this season than Manchester United (11), while the Red Devils’ 24% of goals conceded coming from corners the highest of any side this term.

  • Bournemouth have earned 49 points in the Premier League this season, their highest ever tally in a campaign in the competition, surpassing their 48 in 2023-24. They could become the 40th different side to achieve a 50+ point Premier League season, with the last side to reach that tally for the first time being Brentford in 2022-23 (59).
  • Bournemouth are looking to record three consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since November 2019, with the third game back then being a 1-0 home win against Manchester United.
  • Manchester United have failed to score in 13 different Premier League games this season, with only Leicester (15) and Everton (14) doing so more. They last failed to score in more league games in a single campaign in 1989-90 (16).
