Mark Goldbridge was deeply critical of Bruno Fernandes during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

Rasmus Hojlund netted a 96th minute equaliser on Sunday to see United claim a point against ten-man Bournemouth.

The Cherries had taken the lead mid-way through the first half, courtesy of Antoine Semenyo’s fierce strike, but had attacker Evanilson sent off on 70 minutes.

The result sees Bournemouth stay tenth, with their hopes of European qualification dwindling, while United climb a place to 14th.

It was another frustrating affair for Ruben Amorim’s men, who are now on a five-game winless run in the Premier League.

But they ramped up the pressure after Evanilson’s dismissal. Indeed, United has some 25 shots at the Bournemouth goal across the game, their highest in a Premier League match this season.

And one of those shots had prominent Manchester United fan Goldbridge in a rage.

After Fernandes tried his luck from distance as United were chasing a goal in the game’s closing stages, Goldbridge wrote on X: “Bruno shooting from 40 yards there is pure and utter disrespect.

“Shameful how many have done that today.”

After the game, Amorim said: “We could do better, we created chances but we need to do better near the box.

“It is small things. We have to understand the foot that is in play, crossing, one v ones. We need to understand the game in that way.

“Today we pushed our opponent, especially after the sending off. We had the chances but again we didn’t score.”

On the Europa League tie with Bilbao in midweek, Amorim added: “The way Bournemouth defend is quite similar, so we can take things from this game. But again it is a new history and we must do better.”
