Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique should have a fully-fit squad at his disposal for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
However, the Spaniard has some critical decisions to make amid an underwhelming run of form for his side, who have triumphed in just one of their last four games in all competitions.
Unlike the Arsenal team of 2003-04, PSG will not be going through their domestic campaign unbeaten owing to Friday’s shock Ligue 1 loss to Nice, their first top-flight defeat of the 2024-25 season.
Enrique went as strong as possible for that showdown with Les Aiglons, so most of those starters will be retained at the Emirates, but he is not bereft of options for attacking alterations.
Desire Doue – previously linked with Arsenal – lasted just under an hour against Nice, and the former Rennes starlet could now face the chop as Bradley Barcola bangs on the door for a return.
Either man will be working in tandem with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele, who has directly contributed to 44 goals in 44 games this season but has not found the back of the net in any of his last six appearances across Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
Further back, the menacing midfield trio of Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha will link arms once more, as will Marquinhos and Willian Pacho in front of number one Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Marauding full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes have shone during PSG’s run to the semis, but the pair should prepare for stiff battles against Myles Lewis-Skelly and Jurrien Timber on Tuesday.
Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Barcola, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
