Fulham are reportedly prepared to hold talks with Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters over a free transfer.
The defender has made 201 competitive appearances since joining Southampton from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2020.
However, Walker-Peters is set to end his five-year stint on the South Coast following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League.
The 28-year-old will not sign a new deal with the Saints and will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of June.

Fulham keen on Walker-Peters move
According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Fulham are among the clubs that are keen to sign Walker-Peters this summer.
The update claims that the Cottagers will look to hold talks with the player’s representatives at the end of the season.
However, the West London club are aware they will face competition in the race to sign the full-back on a free transfer.
Walker-Peters will offer his potential suitors plenty of top-flight experience, having made 147 Premier League appearances during his career.

Why do Fulham want to sign Walker-Peters?
The former Tottenham man also offers great versatility, having demonstrated he is comfortable playing anywhere across the backline.
Fulham’s interest could derive from the uncertainty surrounding right-back Kenny Tete, whose contract expires at the end of June.
The Cottagers will look to make decisions over Tete, and the other out-of-contract players, at the end of the campaign.
Even Tete were to stay, Fulham boss Marco Silva could view Walker-Peters as a better backup option than Timothy Castagne.
