Gabriel Martinelli has been through several ups and downs with his Arsenal teammates and the prospect of having one foot in the Champions League if the Gunners beat Paris Saint-Germain must delight him more than most.

Gabriel Martinelli says Arsenal are “lucky” to have Bukayo SakaWhat Bukayo Saka has been assured by Andrea Berta in contract talks

Both Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were especially relied upon by Mikel Arteta when it seemed like nothing seemed to be working for Arsenal a few years ago.

But from the get-go, both wingers who have blossomed into top players were ready for the challenge.

Cesc Fabregas called Saka a “special talent” and he has truly become a world-class winger.

While Mikel Arteta lauded Martinelli recently as well as the pair’s goals against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final summed up how they have grown together over the years.

Gabriel Martinelli says Arsenal are “lucky” to have Bukayo Saka

Ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming clash against PSG, Gabriel Martinelli was quizzed about his thoughts on Saka.

Martinelli revealed how close he is to Saka while emphasising that Arsenal are “lucky” to have a player of his calibre on their books as he is one of the best in the world.

The Brazilian international said via BeanymanSports: “It’s amazing to have him in the team next to me, he’s a brother to me, I love him, I think he’s one of the best players in the world right now, we are lucky to have him here.”

“We have been through so many things here at the club and I think we deserve to be believe in this moment right now and we deserve to win something great for this football club.”

What Bukayo Saka has been assured by Andrea Berta in contract talks

Saka’s contract extension is Andrea Berta’s priority and judging by how Martinelli has sang his praises goes to show how valued he is at Arsenal.

Berta wishes to make Saka Arsenal’s highest-earner and offer him weekly wages of £300,000-a-week.

Andrea Berta’s dream scenario is for the England international’s new deal to be finalised before the summer.

Saka confirmed his desire to stay at Arsenal ahead of his boyhood club’s clash against Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium, which is why it is natural to assume it will be a relatively easy deal to execute.

What is frightening about the Ealing-born sensation is that he is yet to reach the peak of his powers and the way he is going, the Gunners poster-child could become a legend of the game like another right-winger such as Mohamed Salah.

Arsenal wish to make their players feel valued, which is why tying Saka down to a lucrative deal is high on their to-do list.
