Wolves are seemingly looking to extract revenge on Tottenham.
Spurs hijacked a deal for Kevin Danso back in February just before transfer deadline day, when Wolves thought they had secured the Austria international right at the end of the window.
Ironically, Vitor Pereira has since outperformed Ange Postecoglou significantly, winning six Premier League games in a row to move Wolves up to 13th as Tottenham sit 16th.

Now, Wolves are looking to get Tottenham back for pinching Danso from them, as the Old Gold make Johnny Cardoso an offer.
Wolves offer to triple Johnny Cardoso’s wages
Diario de Sevilla now claim that Wolves have offered a contract to the United States international, worth three times his current salary at Real Betis.
Now, in case you were unaware, Tottenham have already agreed a £20m fee for Cardoso as part of the £8m deal which saw Giovani Lo Celso move from Spurs to Real Betis back in August 2024.
Despite that, the Real Betis No.4 does still need to agree to move to Tottenham, with that agreement only concrete between Spurs and the Spanish side.
Diario de Sevilla state that Cardoso is still able to join a different club if the bid is worth more than the £20m Spurs have agreed, although Real Betis will have to pay the north Londoners a 20% penalty fee if they accept an offer from another side.
Unfortunately, the Spanish news outlet do not make it clear whether that is a 20% cut of the entire transfer fee, or a 20% cut of however much more the deal goes beyond £20m.
Cardoso – who was recently called “amazing” by the Spanish media after a superb performance against Sevilla – could also stay at Real Betis, as the story mentions a possible contract extension on improved wages.
What Johnny Cardoso has said about his future
Cardoso – who Wolves actually bid for in January – has not exactly entertained much talk of a move to the Premier League.
Real Betis could still qualify for the UEFA Champions League, currently sitting sixth in La Liga.
When asked how he feels in Spain, Cardoso suggested he wants to stay at Real Betis, revealing: “I am very happy here and I hope I can continue enjoying myself at Betis for many years to come.”

Therefore, both Tottenham and Wolves could be rejected by the 23-year-old this summer.
