Viktor Gyokeres scored his seventh hat-trick of the season by scoring four goals for Sporting CP dismantled Boavista 5-0 in their latest outing.
Gyokeres has impressed Arsenal and Andrea Berta as he is one of the many strikers they have set their sights on signing in the summer.
However, Gyokeres has played down his links to Arsenal and is instead, focused on all things Sporting as his latest exploits showcased.
The Swedish marksman’s four strikes exemplified the range of goals in his locker — as he scored two tap-ins, beat his man to slot the ball into the bottom corner and ran in behind to tuck away his chance.
Viktor Gyokeres certainly looks like the real deal and the prospect of Mikel Arteta getting his hands on him should be a frightening one for their domestic rivals.

Portuguese media left speechless by Viktor Gyokeres after four-goal display for Sporting
Gyokeres is set to leave Sporting this summer and Arsenal’s confidence in him being a potentially hit signing would have increased after watching him put Boavista to the sword.
Gyokeres’ agents are planning to visit Arsenal by making the trek down to the Emirates Stadium as well — which is another hint that a move could possibly be on the cards.
After standing out once again, the 26-year-old earned a 9/10 match rating from Portuguese outlet A Bola as they admitted to have ran out of superlatives to describe his magnifence: “Let’s try not to use any adjectives, which will most likely be a first. He scored goals 49, 50, 51 and 52 and, by one point, he now leads the race for the Golden Boot: 57 to [Mohamed[ Salah’s 56, although he has scored 38 goals to the Egyptian’s ‘only’ 28.”
“And he returned in the 33rd minute, once again receiving a pass with his left foot, this time from [Francisco] Trincao, to head the ball wide. Finally, in the first half’s stoppage time, Trincão found Gyokeres a little on the left. A typical move from the Swede: he ran, ran, ran, faced his opponent, in this case [Rodrigo] Abascal, passed to the right, shot and scored.”
“Finally, at 90+2′, he received the ball from the very supportive Harder and closed the gap for the final 5-0 and putting the poker in his pocket.”
While Goal Point gave Arsenal target Gyokeres a 10/10 match rating, as they wrote: “What are the words for? The Swede is a ‘game within the game’, such is the difference in ability compared to all the other players. Gyokeres scored a “poker” , destroying a Boavista team that might have had the weapons to trouble the “lion”, but not the ability to stop the striker. Gyo [Gyokeres] equalled the most shots in the League (10), which belonged to his teammate Daniel Bragança), set a new record for shots on target (7), shots inside the area (nine) and Expected Goals (xG), with 2.7. And he also recorded 19 progressive passes received and 18 actions with the ball in the opposing area.”
How Andrea Berta thinks Viktor Gyokeres will do at Arsenal
TBR Football recently revealed Andrea Berta’s thoughts on Gyokeres as a player and character.
Berta believes the former Coventry City striker will become an immediate starter under Mikel Arteta.
Furthermore, Andrea Berta is confident Gyokeres will adapt to Arsenal’s demands in no time.
After having conducted background checks about his character, all the Gunners have discovered is “glowing” feedback.
Gyokeres is enticed by Arsenal’s project and Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of his as well.
The North Londoners are keen on signing a win-now frontman in any case and the in-form hitman seems to be fit the bill.
Gyokeres’ latest haul of four goals against Boavista will further bolster Arsenal’s confidence about signing the Sporting sensation.
