Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Bodø/Glimt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday night as they try to secure a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semifinal tie. Spurs suffered a poor 5-1 loss away at Liverpool recently, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved performance in Europe this week.

Ange Postecoglu will set his team in a 4-3-3 formation once again and could make a whole host of changes for this game. Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pedro Porro might get a chance to play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will function in between the sticks for the North London club after conceding five goals in his last appearance. Micky van de Ven will operate alongside Cristian Romero at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.

Pedro Porro will hope to catch the eye as the right-back while Destiny Udogie looks to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Ben Davies will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Postecoglu could opt for a midfield three of James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall as they try to win the 50-50 battles and establish their superiority over the opposition in the middle of the park.

Pape Matar Sarr will be named on the bench as he awaits his opportunity to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Mathys Tel will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Dejan Kulusevski looks to make a difference from the right.

Dominic Solanke will spearhead Tottenham’s attack down the middle. He managed to score against his old club Liverpool last weekend which should give him some confidence ahead of this game.

Richarlison will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the match if required.
